Indoor Shooting Range

Public range is always available unless specifically noted otherwise. Handguns and handgun caliber rifles are allowed anytime. Rifle examples; 357 Lever Action, 22LR Rifles, Pistol Caliber AR.

Tactical range is available to members and law enforcement days and times the side is not booked for agencies and classes. Tactical range is available to everyone on Wednesday rifle night. Shotguns and rifles up to 50bmg can be used. See Range Rules for ammunition types allowed.

Range Rules

Four (4) Universal Rules of Gun Safety

  1. Treat all guns as if they are always loaded.
  2. Never let the muzzle point at anything that you are not willing to destroy.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot.
  4. Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

Evan’s Gun World Rules

  1. Listen to and comply with the range staff.
    • It is loud on the range, and you have hearing protection. Range staff will yell to speak to you and/ or get your attention.
    • We may request customers to exit the range to communicate better.
    • Range staff may grab you, your arm, or firearm to control an unsafe situation.
  2. Everyone must check-in and fill out waiver before entering the range.
  3. Eye and ear protection must be worn in the range at all times.
    • These must be put on before entering the first range door.
    • We may not allow eye and ear protection such as ear pods, headphones, etc.
  4. Keep firearms pointed in a safe direction at all times.
    • While inside the shooting ranges firearms are only pointed down range towards the backstop.
    • While in the showroom, range desk, classroom or anywhere outside the ranges unloaded firearms must be pointed in a safe direction.
  5. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
  6. All loading and unloading must be done inside the range and in a shooting booth on the firing line.
    • All firearms outside of the booth must have slide locked back, cylinder out, bolt locked back, or in a manner range staff and others can clearly see the firearm is unloaded and unable to fire.
    • Magazine feeding devices must be out of the firearm when not in the booth.
    • Firearms may not be loaded or unloaded at the back tables.
  7. Loaded firearms may be legally carried and concealed on premises. Loading and unloading must be done in a range booth. Do not unholster or show a loaded firearm to employees or customers.
    • If you have a loaded and unsafe firearm for the gunsmith notify range staff immediately and you will be directed how to proceed.
  8. Double taps and rapid fire will be determined on skill and accuracy.
    • Any hits to the ground, ceiling, walls, target retrieval system will result in damage fees.
  9. Holster draw is generally not allowed.
    • Current and identified law enforcement officers may be approved by range staff.
    • Members that have successfully completed Evan’s Gun World holster class and approved by range staff.
  10. If you have a jam or malfunction you are unable to clear, keep the firearm pointed downrange and notify the range staff.
  11. If you observe any unsafe behavior, notify the range staff immediately.
  12. Any perceived aggressive behavior including yelling, swearing, physical intimidation will result in being banned from the property.
  13. Do not use steel core, green tip, bimetal (magnetic bullets), tracer, bird shot or black powder ammunition. Any damage to the range can result in damage fees.
  14. Firearms, ammunition, and magazine feeding devices must be legally owned by the user.
  15. Prohibited persons are NOT allowed to use or enter the facility.

  16. The property is video, and audio recorded at all times.

* Negligently using a firearm will result in injury or death. Failure to comply with range rules, written or implied, or is found doing anything unsafe will be warned and/or removed from the range at the range staff’s discretion.
