Orange County CCW Classes
Evan’s Gun World Concealed Carry Course is designed to meet the Orange County Sheriff’s Department requirement of certified instruction in order for a law-abiding citizen to apply for an OCSD Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) License. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training. It includes a required firearms qualification course of fire for each handgun a permit holder plans to carry.
NOTE: This meets the training requirement by OCSD CCW Licensing unit to fulfill the training requirement for a CCW license. This class and the follow-on blocks are all held using a computer, web cam, and conference-chat software. YOU MUST HAVE THESE DEVICES in order to attend this class. If you are unsure of anything, please reach out to the instructor.
LIVESCAN will be provided on site. Approximate charge $120

Orange County CCW Initial
Our Initial CCW course is broken into five sessions to allow flexibility. All five sessions must be attended.

- Session 1: four (4) hour zoom session, Thursday night 5pm to 9pm
- Session 2: four (4) hour zoom session, Tuesday night 5pm to 9pm
- Session 3: four (4) hour zoom session, Thursday night 5pm to 9pm
- Session 4: four (4) hour zoom session, Saturday morning 8am to 12pm
- Session 5: one (1) hour in-person qualification at Evan’s Gun World, Saturday afternoon scheduled between 2pm to 5pm
